The Strange Case of Origami Yoda (Review)

If you are into funny, nerdy and quirky comedy then you'll like this book. This book is a Star Wars fan must read. The story follows a group of kids who solve their problems through the wise wisdom of the origami Jedi master Yoda. Some believe that Yoda is really taping into the force to help the kids in their problems. The main problem of this story is whether or not this one kid should ask this one girl out to the school dance. The book is comprised of the different times when Yoda's wisdom  comes into play to help "fix" a problem. If you believe in Yoda that's up to you. I recommend this book to anyone who's a fan of Star Wars.

Percy Jackson (Review)

If you like Greek mythology then you'll love this book. This book follows the newest son of Poseidon, Percy Jackson. Percy is a Half-Blood or Demigod, some one who is half god and half human. Poseidon is one of the big three gods who should not bare children because of a prophecy that states that they would cause a huge change in Olympus. Percy is hunted down his whole life because of this. Percy gets enrolled into this camp that trains demigods and help them channel their powers. In this book Percy gets framed for stealing Zeus's lighting bolt. This makes him take a journey to find it. His journey made him meet many of Greek mythologies monsters like Medusa, Harpies and Chimera. In the end Percy does find the lighting bolt and finds out who's the real lighting thief. I highly recommend this book to anyone who's into Greek mythology.

The Sniper (Review)

This story takes place during the Irish Civil War. The story follows an IRA sniper who is on the roof of a building waiting. He knows that if he was to smoke a cig then the smoke would attract attention to him and he was right. Another sniper shoots the IRA sniper in the arm disabling him from shooting. The IRA sniper is not finished, he's smart enough to fool the other sniper into thinking that he was dead and then in the other sniper's "victory" kills him. The IRA sniper goes to the dead sniper's body wanting to see who it was that he kill and it turned out to be a plot twist. This a great story that made me want to become a sniper. I recommend this story to anyone that is into historical fiction and war.

The Most Dangerous Game (Review)

Think of the movie Predator, and instead of an alien hunting you down its this one crazy rich guy who's bored. The book starts off with the main character being shipwrecked and finding his way onto an island. The main character finds that this one rich guy who too is a hunter lives on this island and hunts those who comes on it. The main character was able to out smart the hunter and was able to take him down. I really like this story. It makes you think of how cunning you have to be to be able to survive in the wild. The closest book I can relate this story is the Hunger Game, you have to kill or be killed in order to survive. I recommend this story to anyone wants a quick rush of adrenaline.

A Streetcar Named Desire (Review)

Whenever I was reading this book all I could hear in my head was jazz music and the whole movement of the "Big Easy". This story follows the life of a husband and wife and the struggle that they faced when the wife's sister comes to live with them. Its the 1940's and the roles of each party in a marriage was very different. The sister had to stay with the wife because she was going through a mid-life crisis and need to stay with someone. Throughout the story the husband and the sister had many fights. The story keeps you attached throughout due to the intense drama. Overall this was a good story and also was adapted into a movie.

Ready Player One (middle)

Think of winning the lottery and all of the fame and wealth that comes with it. Now think of the hard ship now that you have all this money and everyone is now your "family" and wants a piece of the score. That's how Wade was feeling. He had just found what the whole world was searching for, for five years and now has to deal with the uproar that came with it. Wade had just became and overnight celebrity. Everyone wanted a piece of him. From being poor to now being part of the "1%" was a huge change. With fame comes consequences. People now want the information that he had and they were willing to kill him (which they try to do by blowing up his home) if he didn't comply with them. Over time Wade had made friends who also found one of the three keys. The story gets interesting with Wade falling in love with one of the people who is part of his group and to see their relationship form in Wade's eyes and not in the other's and see his depression that came with it. Wade and friends also find another of the three keys and there is a evil corporation that also wants they keys (these are the people that blew up Wade's home) and the are on a race to get to the prize at the end.

Ready Player One (beginning)

Well how can I start, this book is really great. If you are into sci-fi and the 80s you'll love this book. The way I can explain this book is think of if before Steve Jobs died he created this virtual reality world where he hid a treasure and the treasure is that you become the CEO of Apple and you gain all of Steve Jobs money. That's what this book is. the creator of this virtual reality system called OASIS just died and is giving his fortune away to whoever finds a hidden "Easter Egg" in his creation. The story follows a young boy named Wade who is a "Gunter" a person on the hunt for the easter egg in OASIS. In the world of OASIS the money you have translates into the real world and vice versa. Wade is a poor boy who lives in these trailer parks where instead of the trailers being on the ground they are stacked one on top each other. The world has been on the hunt for the easter egg for five years and some people don't even believe it to be real, but that all changes when Wade finds one of the three hidden easter eggs which are keys that open a gate that you must pass to continue on the road to collect the prize at the end.

ONE PUNCH MAN (Manga Review)

You may be wondering why the title is in all caps and there is only one thing that I can say ONE PUNNNNNCCCHHHHHHH!!!!!! This is one over the top manga. Everything about it is crazy. Imagine that you're able to defeat any enemy with just one punch and be dissatisfied with yourself that you only did it with one punch. That's what this is about. This is a must read if you are into crazy nonsense that is just too crazy to even describe. I first started with the anime by caught up to the show and wanted to know what happened next so I went to reading the manga. The art and fight scenes are really dramatic and awesome to watch and read. I recommend this to anyone who wants to get to the anime/manga world. 10/10

Fairy Tail (Manga Review)

I first got into Fairy Tail by Netflix. I first watched the anime before reading the manga. At a point in time after binging the over the first 175 episodes I had to know what was going to happen next and that's where it began. My addiction to reading this manga. I couldn't stop reading, the manga was almost a year ahead of the anime and I had so much to catch up to. The art and story was so fun to get into. Once I caught up to the manga (which took me a day to do of nonstop reading) I felt complete. Every Monday at 12am I get a notification that a new chapter just came out and I read it right on the spot (most recent chapter is V.38 Chap.471). If you are in for a long haul if reading then this is manga for you. 10/10

Double Tap (Review)

I myself wants to be a cop and if I want to do that I have to know the law. This book is about a criminal case. The story is from the point of view of one of the defense attorneys. His case is one of high publicity. His client "killed" a Ceo of a company. The client was the bodyguard and love affair of the victim. It's up to the defense attorneys to prove the their client is innocent. The book was a fun read and I really enjoyed it when I was bored. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a career in the law. 8/10

Clockwork Orange (Review)

HOLYCRAP this book is hard to read if you didn't first watch the movie or had someone explain it to you. I picked this book to see what all the hype was about (this book is banned in many countries)
and see what was really going on. To be honest I didn't see what the big fuss was about. The book does cover some really serious topics like rape, murder and torture. Don't read if you are weak of heart or can't stand violence. Don't get me wrong this book is good but if reading for the first time try to watch the movie first. There are a some changes to way stuff happens and is described in the book going into the movie but it doesn't change the experience too much. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to think like, what if this really happens or what if this comes true while reading their books. 8.5/10

Pendragon 10 (Review)

So this is it the last book in the Pendragon series. The last time we were with Bobby he thought everything went to hell but he soon realizes the truth. Bobby finds out why he was chosen to lead the group known as the Travelers to stop Saint Dane (who set up his own reality in which he was God) and be the heroes that their worlds needed. Bobby and his "Earth" friends become real badasses and get the job done in ways even I couldn't think of. DJ MacHale really out did himself in this book series and made it a really enjoyable experience reading these books. I wish that you are able to see these books the same way that I do.

Pendragon 9 (Review)

THIS RIGHT HERE IS MY FAVORITE BOOK SERIES. This book is the 9th book in the Pendragon series written by DJ MacHale. The book series is about a boy who finds out that there are different worlds and it is up to him and his team of other people from different worlds to save it. In this book Bobby Pendragon is age 21 (we start the series in book 1 when he is 13) and he is learning more about his place in this world after the countless years of fighting the villain in the series Saint Dane (he's a real dick of a saint). I can't really say what is to come of Bobby (that's for my review of the 10 book) by he thinks that all is lost. I highly recommend this book series to anyone I gave on of them *book 4 my favorite* to my girlfriend for her birthday last year and she loved it. So get a hold of this series because it's filled with sooooo much.

10/10

Clash of Kings (Review)

Well here it is the review of the 2nd book in the Song of Ice and Fire, A Clash of Kings. As a show watcher I thought that I was going to be in for a treat. I already knew what was going to happen, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The book and the show are different in some way and are the same in others. I'm not going to spoil anything for you but some points in the story are different ( Danny's trip in the tower is one of them). Overall I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next on. Till next time
